Day 7: I am thankful for first responders.

My family and I passed a terrible three-vehicle accident yesterday morning. Uniformed people walked around the masses of mangled metal. The back of one SUV was completely sawed off, and EMT’s were transporting a person secured to a stretcher from a vehicle to an ambulance. Additional, incoming sirens filled the air, traffic started to build. Many people’s Sunday plans suddenly changed. I am thankful there are people whose jobs are to expect the unexpected, to step in at a moments notice. I am thankful for first responders.
