I am spending the next 24 days giving thanks in many ways – posting personal thanks on my Facebook page, giving handwritten notes to a lovely list of people who’ve made my year, and sharing small gifts with those around me. I’d like to continue the 24 Days of Thanks on Nursetopia, as well, giving and sharing thanks for people, places, things, and processes within nursing and health care.

Day 1: I am thankful for such a flexible profession leading to so many divergent paths. My career has forked numerous times, and it’s always been the road I least expected bringing me where I am today. Without quoting Robert Frost, I am thankful for wonderfully unexpected roads.
