It seems like we are always waiting for the big, monumental moments, but life is really comprised of trillions of small moments. We rush passed most of them, and every once in a while we catch one and take it in.

Likewise, it is blissfully easy to breeze past all the minute events that make work – whatever that may be – better. The coworker who swings by with a compliment for something you thought was routine, the stranger who holds the elevator for you as you’re trying to reach the next meeting, the patient that shares a nugget of information, the IT person that shows you a software task shortcut, the copy machine that decides to work all day without one paper jam, the people that leave their agendas at the door to accomplish something for the greater good.

Little things.

However, when you look for the little things, it is obvious they comprise the majority of great teams, great organizations, and great work. Little is big. Look for it today. Point it out. You might be the little someone else is looking for today.
