Suppose you worked
In a bustling GI lab
That hadn’t a restroom
Now that would be bad.

Of nurses too busy
That ran round and round
And made you so dizzy

And had such a tizzy.

To bleeps in the ICU,
Memory flashes to cake
Candles lit up for you.
No, burning tires, crunches
Sirens, lights flashing red, blue.

For the youngons out there,
who should not have a care,
ration their food and water to share.
There’s so many places we’d rather not be,
we oughta be thankful, yes, you and yes, me.
