“Eat the frog” is a metaphor indicating you should do the worst thing of the day first. That way your day can only get better. Brian Tracy even has a book, Eat That Frog, all about how to stop procrastinating with those big, not-so-pleasant to-do’s.

Unfortunately, my Friday was a whirlwind that left me with some frogs. In retrospect, I should have eaten a few frogs then, but I couldn’t bring myself to do it. After back-to-back meetings all day, my overloaded brain needed rest. I needed a chance to sit quietly in my car on the way home, a chance to play back the day, a moment to consider just the right ways to eat those frogs Monday.

Well, Monday is here. It’s time to eat. Quickly. The day can only get better, right?
