Pinterest is my new, fastest way to waste spend time. Thanks to a friend – whom I shake my fist at every time I’ve seen an hour slip through my Pinterest-ing fingertips (kidding…slightly) – I use Pinterest to discover all sorts of great stuff from Christmas Advent activities to super addicting recipes to DIY projects Pinterest makes me believe I can complete. It makes me smile. It makes me happy.

Pinterest is like a virtual pinboard with all of my favorite things pinned to it – a social network of sorts with bits of Twitter, Tumblr, and Facebook combined. I use it for personal reasons rather than professional ones. However, a quick search shows many nurses and nursing students are collecting nursing-related pins from across the Internet. Some pins are inspirational, others are light or dark humored, and still others are downright silly. We can relate, though.
