It is so easy to keep going, working, pushing forward progress and forget about the differences you’ve made. It is for me. That’s one of the reasons I keep thank you notes in various forms. I can rattle off a list of mistakes and failures, but successes…well, they don’t rise to the top of my memory. It is nice to pause and reflect on those quickly forgotten moments.

I received a special note yesterday about something I did nearly a year ago that helped influence someone for the better. I would have never known had the person not sent her email or if my colleagues who received the note had never forwarded it to me. Thank you, Friends! The note was only a few sentences, but it meant a lot to me.

Do you have a thank you you’re holding on to today? Send it. I am sure it will mean a lot to someone else, too.
